Goals and Plans

Goals and plans I have for the future is to fix my dad's boat, fix our atv's, and have my mom and brothers get all their gear so we can go riding. I also hope to better in school. I have been slacking and lazy. I havn't been doing my homework, which kills my grade and I play too many video games. It's also the fact that when I'm at home, I have to do everything around the house and I don't have time for homework. I am constantly moving. Hopefully this will be my last time I go to summer school too. I also have plans for going snowboarding again when winter comes again. I havn't been snowboarding in forever. Maybe too my mom will find a house so we can move. My mom and stepdad have been wanting to move to a bigger house, so we aren't so crammed.

Highlight

The highlight of my life was seventh and eighth grade basketball. Fifth and sixth grade, I was horrible. I was short and couldn't make a shot to save my life, until I hit a growth spurt right before seventh grade. I became one of the best players on my team. I would get a good number of shots, about ten to fourteen, and would at least every game get fifteen rebounds. I could get over the tallest guys I would play against. I made them feel like the short ones. The end of the eighth grade season, I got the most improved player trophy. The other two was MVP and most inspirational. I was really good, until we started to play basketball outside of school. In the tournaments we played, it seemed like all my talent just vanished. I lost my shot the most. Now I just play bball with my friends at like Mare Island Sports Center or at a park. I'm getting my shot back though, which is good, but I still need more practice.

Freedom Writers

In diary 3, she (guessing that person is a she) talks about how she was forced to go to school by her probation officer, otherwise she goes to boot camp. She is in the Latino gang and she is tired of the other gangs. She talks about that they are the "original gangsters", when the other gangs think that they are. There is a war between all the gangs for money, territory, respect, and the title for "originals gangsters". This happens all over the world, in schools, neighborhoods, and countries. It brings nothing but hatred towards others.

My Boat

I have the coolest boat in the world. My boat was made by a famous racer named Jack Keaton. He made I think about 14 boats. We have the first one ever made, which I think makes it unique. The reason why I'm saying my boat is so cool is because, like the other Keaton boats, the diver's side is on the left side. It has a gas pedal like a car and has the regular drive, neutral, and reverse. It has a flat bottom because it is a ski boat. It has lots of power too. Today, my dad's friend, Wes, is coming over to help me and my dad fix it up because it's kind of an oldie. All we have to do is replace some parts in the engine, buff out scratches and bubbles in the paint, and give it a new paint job. He owns a Keaton boat too, that's why he is helping us fix it. He owns I think the second or fourth one made, with some modifications. His looks almost brand new. His is white, a couple decals, and gray interior. Ours is red on the outside, white on top including the seats, and the rug is a reddish color. We also have to fix our trailer because it has areas of rust all over it. We always use to take the boat to Rio Vista with Wes, his kids, and his boat. We would ski, wakeboard, and go tubing for hours. Wes can go barefoot. He can only do it once in a while because he says it hurts like hell. I wakeboard because it's fun and I hate skiing. Don't ask me why, I just do. After we get it fixed up, we plan on going again soon, or somewhere better if we can find a better place.

I Remember...

I remember the first time I went snowboarding. It was horrible. We were at Lake Tahoe about two years ago and I wanted to learn how to snowboard. We went to the High Sierra, which is a pretty good mountain, and I went in a snow jacket, jeans, and no gloves. It was 20 degrees outside and I was freezing. We were taught that balance and weight control where you go. Braking was the hard part for some people, but not me. After that, we were suppose to go down the mountain twice. Our lessons were suppose to be an hour long, but there were some slow people trying to learn that couldn't go down the mountain. I was slow too, but when your hands are numb and purple, your pants are soaking wet, and you have snow in your jacket, it's kind of hard. After about an hour and a half, I went to the bathroom and tried to run hot water, which worked, but at first I couldn't feel the water running down my hands. It took about 15 minutes for my hands to warm up again and when they were, they felt weird. They were asleep half the time and still had no feeling in them. I ate some lunch after, which made me feel better and my hands were back to normal. I've only snowboarded one time after that, and I was prepared that time. I did really good too. My brother was really slow cominig down though. I had to wait thirty minutes before he came down. I had lots of fun and plan on going again.

Every Day

Riding dirt bikes and ATV's is my life. I wish, if i could, ride every day. The feeling of getting on the bike, starting the engine, and riding it for hours is a thrill. When I hit the high hills and advanced tracks, there's no stopping me. I don't care about falling or crashing. The thrill of riding takes my mind off of any worries I have. I have only fallen once. It was when I was at my grandparent's house. They own acres of land so we can ride. My mom didn't want me to try it, but I convinced her. I rode for about 10 minutes. It was a tall bike, so when I stopped, I fell over. It was all mud on the ground so when I tried putting my foot on the ground, I slipped. The engine burned the right side of my left leg, but it wasn't bad. I havn't been riding in a while. The last time I went was last year before Christmas with my cousin. All of our gear was stolen a couple days after, but not mine, because I had to bring my gear home to clean it. We usually leave our gear in our trailer. We left it at my stepdad's studio, and overnight, someone broke into it. That was the second time it happened. The first time they broke in, they took our dirt bikes. That is never going to happen again. We have a new trailer now, and it's big enough to fit our four ATV's in, and small enough to fit in our garage. I am trying to do everything I can to make sure they get new gear so we can go riding again.
